At RP Slight and Sons (RPS), our dedication to craftsmanship and bespoke solutions was once again showcased in our recent project for Murrayfield Medical Centre in Edinburgh. Tasked with designing, building, and installing a custom desk, we brought our expertise and innovative techniques to the forefront.
Crafting Elegance and Functionality: The Murrayfield Medical Centre Desk by RPS

The Design and Build Process
Our team was appointed to create a functional yet aesthetically pleasing reception desk for the medical centre. The desk was meticulously crafted from Oak Veneer, chosen for its durability and elegance. We further enhanced its practicality and resilience by painting it in our on-site spray booth, achieving a perfect finish that complements the centre’s interior.

Technical Precision and Integration
During the installation, our skilled craftsmen aligned the desk seamlessly with existing electrical services. This integration incorporated both data and power outlets, along with strategic lighting, ensuring functionality without compromising on design. Such attention to detail is a hallmark of RPS’s commitment to delivering tailored solutions to our clients.

Personalised Touch with CNC Engraving
One of the unique features of this project was the use of our CNC capabilities to engrave the practice’s name on the desk. This personalisation not only adds a distinct identity to the desk but also reflects our ability to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to meet specific client requests.

The completion of the desk for Murrayfield Medical Centre is a testament to RPS's high-quality workmanship and dedication to providing dedicated solutions. At RPS, we take pride in our ability to transform our clients' visions into reality, combining aesthetic appeal with functional design in every project we undertake.
