At RP Slight & Sons Ltd, we believe in creating a sustainable future through responsible business practices. Our commitment to the environment is integral to our operations, as we strive to minimise our carbon footprint and contribute positively to the planet.

Renewable Energy and Efficiency

Our journey to sustainability is marked by significant investments in renewable energy. The solar panels installed on our workshop roof since 2015 have drastically reduced our reliance on fossil fuels, saving up to 75 tonnes of CO2 annually. This initiative, coupled with our energy-efficient machinery and waste wood-fueled boilers, exemplifies our dedication to green energy.

Waste Reduction and Recycling

We are steadfast in reducing waste and enhancing recycling. Utilising materials with high recycled content, especially in MDF and plasterboards, and collaborating with waste contractors committed to landfill avoidance, we exemplify environmental stewardship in every project we undertake.

Sustainable Transportation

Understanding the environmental impact of transportation, we are transitioning to more efficient vehicles and planning to integrate electric and hybrid models. Our goal is to achieve a balance between operational needs and environmental responsibility.

Conservation and Carbon Neutrality

Aiming for carbon-neutral status, we actively engage in rewilding and conservation efforts across Scotland. Our practices are not just about reducing emissions but also about enhancing the natural environment.

Future-Proofing Sustainability

We are constantly evolving in our sustainability approach, staying abreast of new methods to limit our environmental impact. Our commitment is not just for today but for a greener, more sustainable tomorrow.

Join us in our journey towards a sustainable future, where every action counts in making a difference for our planet.
